Simply prime the surface (black or grey usually works well for this), then you're ready to test your paints! Once it's been totally covered by tests, prime it again, and you can start fresh!
We crammed this thing full of different detailed textures to give lots of variation to make it a great testing ground for all types of terrain and miniatures. We also kept it small at 6x4 inches, making it easy to keep close at hand without taking up too much room on your work surface.
